Quercus Robur is a departure away from traditional ‘spirit’ casks. Robur is most often used for ‘European Oak’ sherry casks. The wood itself is more porous than either of the Patraea or Alba species, and much less sweet. The trees grow throughout Europe, but ours come from the highly prized region of Slavonia in Croatia – Lužnjak casks.46% ABV. Awarded Gold winner at the 2022 Irish Whiskey Awards.
