Quercus Alba – ‘The American White Oak’, is used almost exclusively by the American Bourbon industry, but is also used for a lot of white wine maturation. The oak is grown in the USA, and imparts sweet caramel, toffee, vanilla and coconut sweetness. 46% ABV. Awarded a score of 96 at the 15th Annual New York International Spirits Competition.
