The Spirit of Pot Still Revival

Step into Irish whiskey history with this limited release of just 50 casks of direct-fired Croithlí Single Pot Still Whiskey — the first laid down in Donegal in living memory, and possibly the first ever from a Charentais still.

Back in the 1880s, Irish Single Pot Still whiskey was the most celebrated style of its kind — full-bodied, creamy, spicy, and revered worldwide. Over a century later, that legacy is being reignited in the Donegal Gaeltacht, where pure water, local grain, and Atlantic air meet age-old distilling methods.

The Tír Chonaill Abú Release is your chance to own part of that revival: a premium Pot Still cask from our Batch 3 production, matured in Grade A first-fill bourbon barrels and shaped by flame, copper, and time. Choose from optional special finishes in Oloroso, Pedro Ximénez or Cognac casks.

A DONEGAL MASH BILL, BORN OF TRADITION

Made with 65% malted barley, 30% unmalted barley and 5% oats, the Croithlí mash bill is a tribute to Ireland’s unique Pot Still tradition — enriched with oats for texture and character.

The spirit is double distilled using our direct-fired Charentais pot stills, then laid down on site in the cool air of coastal Donegal to mature.

BOTTLING OPTIONS

Full Cask Bottling:
Bottle the full cask at your chosen ABV (typically 40– 63.5%)
You pay the relevant taxes, packaging and delivery costs
We facilitate the entire process on your behalf
125 Bottles at 46% ABV:
We bottle 125 bottles exclusively for you at 46% ABV
You forgo the remainder of the cask, which we retain to cover the duty and taxes
You pay nothing more — ideal for a hassle-free experience

Please note: Final yield may vary based on maturation loss (angel’s share ~3% annually).
