We’re delighted to announce Hospitality Monday, a special complimentary open day at The Crolly Distillery, created specifically for people working across the hospitality sector.
Taking place on Monday 9 February, Hospitality Monday is our way of saying go raibh míle maith agaibh to the bar staff, front-of-house teams, hoteliers, restaurateurs, and off-licence professionals who play such an important role in shaping visitors’ experiences of Donegal every day.
Throughout the day, we’ll be running hourly distillery tours from 12pm to 5pm, offering guests the full Crolly Distillery Experience — the very same tour and tasting that visitors have ranked among the Top 10% of attractions worldwide on TripAdvisor for two years running.
A full distillery experience — just as our visitors enjoy it
Hospitality Monday isn’t a presentation or a sales pitch. It’s a relaxed, welcoming opportunity to experience the distillery exactly as your own guests do.
Visitors on the day will:
- Step inside our historic distillery in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht
- Hear the story of Croithlí and the revival of distilling in Donegal
- See our whiskey made using extremely rare traditional direct-fire distillation
- Enjoy a guided tasting of our premium Irish whiskeys
- Spend time in our visitor centre at an unhurried pace
For many hospitality professionals, this is a chance to properly experience an attraction they’re regularly asked about — and to recommend it with genuine insight and confidence.
Why Hospitality Monday matters
So many of our visitors arrive having been encouraged by a hotel receptionist, a front-of-house team member, or a bartender who knows the area well. Hospitality Monday is designed to give those conversations even more meaning.
The day provides an excellent opportunity to explore how Croithlí premium Irish whiskey might work behind the bar or on the shelf, and to focus is on the experience, the storytelling, and the place. It’s a showcase of a truly unique and premium Donegal Gaeltacht product and why the distillery is a prime visitor attraction that adds real value to any stay in Donegal.
